Acclaimed and celebrated floral designer Zavion Kotzé will host three different fundraising events on August 27 and 28 to benefit Aurora Special Care Center in Gqeberha.

This organization offers services to children and adults with physical or intellectual disabilities. They have a stimulation center, a residence and a group home. The various therapy programs and services offer optimal stimulation to its clients.

As an NGO, Aurora Special Care Center receives minimal government support and therefore fundraising events are crucial to ensure that they can continue to provide quality services to their clients.

To raise much needed funds, they have planned an exciting floriculture fundraising weekend.

Zavion, well known for its event management, wedding design, and out-of-this-world floral arrangements (and Survivor fans may remember him for his time on the show), will host two events on Saturday, August 27.

The first is an exclusive and intimate floral school where a maximum of 20 participants will have the opportunity to learn from this master, and the second is a gala dinner for 60 guests.

Both of these events will take place at the beautiful Our Farm Culture in Maitlands, where Chef Allan Bezuidenhout (Muse Restaurant) will prepare the most exquisite meal for diners.

On Sunday August 28, attendees can enjoy afternoon tea with Zavion at a flower and table demonstration to be held at Slipperfields.

Riesl Fick, Managing Director of Aurora Special Care Center, said: “We are aiming to raise R100,000 for the Special Care Center and are delighted to be hosting this fundraising weekend.”
